This makes newborn photoshoot #5 in a continuing effort to build our portfolio. I have to admit...I love shooting newborns. :lust

It is so much fun because it is so challenging. We shoot on location because we do not have a studio, but I actually prefer it this way. Each new session offers its own set of challenges. The only thing that remains constant is our patiences with the babies.

Feel free to leave comments or ask questions. Thank you for looking.

    Thanks everyone.
    • For this session I used a Canon 1D Makr III and a Canon 24-70L.
    • My lighting was a combo of natural light and a Canon 580ex Speedlite with a shoot through umbrella for fill.
    • Photo #1 & #2 - There is a large window behind and above Simon. We used the window blinds to direct most of the light to fall behind him creating a rim light. I placed the 'flash' directly in front of Simon about 10 feet back and 4.5 feet high pointing down to match the angle of the sunlight coming through the window.
    • Photo #3 & #4 - This was a chair in the corner of a bedroom. On either side of the chair was a window. Again we adjusted the blinds to adjust where the natural would fall. The flash was place about 20-30 degrees to the right of the camera and about 4-6 feet high.
    • Photo #5 - There was a large window to the right and my flash was placed 45 degrees left of the camera.
    • Photo #6, #7, & #8 - All natural light (no flash).
