A while back, our own Flutist put out a feeler on D-grin, looking for someone to shoot her wedding in New Hampshire this coming August.

The short story is, Shannon and Jim were high school sweethearts, were separated by life's circumstances for a number of years, and recently found their way back to each other. Jim is a Kuwait vet (thank you, Jim).

Shannon, Jim, and I met in Boston last weekend for a little meet and greet, thought I'd share a few so you could meet a fella D-grinner.

Reading comprehension ftl. I THOUGHT she looked familiar :)

I love #5 and echo Heather's comment on the bw conversion.

Congratulations, Flutist! I'm so stoked for you!

Thank you. It's a LR formula I've been fine-tuning for a while - sometimes, but not this time, bumped a bit in CS5. Basically, zero-sat for all colors + black point + strong contrast; tweak exposure, brightness and tone curve as needed.

This was my last real project with the 40D. I was hoping the 5D would be in my hands in time for this session, but it didn't work out that way (picked it up on Wednesday - OMG!)

fwiw, I would do 95% of my photography as BW - BW being my long-time, first love.

We had fun, and it was great to see the deep level of caring going on between these two. :-)
