We have had hard, killing frosts but my sunflowers are still standing. In the late afternoon sunlight:

    Hi Ann,
I really like #1; strong light, good contrast and beautiful colors. Small sunflowers aren't they? I'm used to sunflowers being at least 12" in diameter and these look considerably smaller than that.

    Thanks for sharing,
    Chris

Thanks, Chris. They are small and will not get to produce seed. Mostly our fault for planting them late and in really poor soil (just threw some seeds onto freshly tilled grass, no fertilizer). But a pretty color!

    Hmmm. I prefer #2.

In #1 I don't like the one leaf pointing at me, and I prefer the angle and colors in #2 more. Maybe it's a more expected shot, but I find it more satisfying.
