"hide" mystery

how come when i click the hide option on a photo, it shows up as blank, even when I'm viewing the gallery when logged in. I have to unclick it to see the photo and then refresh the page.
I thought it only hid the photo if a visitor looked at it, or if the owner was not logged in.

i've cleared the cache., and this happens in both internet exploirer and in firefox.

the smugmug help dept is as baffled by this as i am so i thought id ask for assistance from the forum.

I just mentioned this bug in another thread. Today is the first time (in a long time) this has happened to me, but yes, I've been dealing w/ it all day. The hidden photos are also not showing up for the "Crop" tool (i.e. the frame is filled with gray stripes rather than the image) either. I have to un-hide them in order to be able to crop them, most of the time. Some of them show up when I click on them a time or two, but usually either the thumbnail or even the photo itself isn't showing up if hidden. [ETA: here's a photo that's hidden: http://www.winsomeworks.com/Portfolio/AnnaLisaYoder-PhotoFavorites/6704667_LAjfv#1217326110_Uyn8v and I cannot see the thumb or the preview photo. we've fixed this bug internally and its currently in testing.
