Uploading edited photos via LR

Hi guys,
I'm getting things up to speed for a workflow involving Lightroom and SmugMug. I really love the integration, and trying to get things set up to be able to turn things out and spend less time sitting in front of a computer
The way that I'm set up, I'll upload a gallery of images. I have the feature turned on where an order is delayed after it is placed, so I can replace the original images with retouched versions.
If the retouching can occur completely in LR (IE to the raw file), this works GREAT. I make some adjustments, press a single button to republish them to SmugMug, and everyone's happy.
However, if I have to send the file to Photoshop, things get complicated. I end up with a TIF that's stacked with the raw file, and as far as I can tell, there's no integrated way to redirect SmugMug to that file. The only solution I've found is to export that file as a JPG, and manually replace it via the web interface. For large orders this can be a huge time suck.
Am I missing something, or does someone have any advice on making this work?
thanks!

I haven't tried that and am just guessing.
Alternatively, you don't have to replace photos one by one in your browser. You can use the 'replace multiple photos' button on the order and then drag in all the replacement files you wish to upload. Make sure that your replacement files have the exact same filename as the ones on SmugMug, including case (of the whole filename with the extension, too).

Thanks for the tip on replacing multiple photos at once. I didn't know that was an option. Going to look into it right now.
