FANTASTIC! I particularly like the DOF on #3.

Gah. All that shallow DOF yumminess is really inciting some FF lust. Beeeyootiful thumb.gif (What lens were you using?)

Thanks so much! For images 1 and 3 I used a canon 50mm f/1.4 (both images were taken at 1.4) and the rest were with my 24-70L

Love 1 and 3. In # 3 is that dof straight out of the camera. I have the 50mm f/1.4 ,but rarely use it. (i think I will now)
Also what do you think of the 24-70L? I was looking at it in a shop the other day and my wife actually said go ahead and get it.
I just couldn't talk myself into parting with the $1,300.00. Is it a huge difference between the kit lens that comes with the 7d?

Yeah the dof is straight out of camera not edited. I LOVE my 24-70 and will NEVER sell that lens!

People tend to shoot a lot of B&W these days without applying it correctly. I love your portraits in #1 & 3 especially. # 3 has perfect composition, exposure & lighting. Well done!

Ha.... the title made it sound like you had upgraded your camera against your Fiance's strong objections.

Sorry can't see the pictures to comment on them, must be Flickr.

I thought it you meant you tossed both your fiance and your 5D.

#2 all the way. I love the processing and the lighting.

And please tell your fiance how much I love her outfit! From her gladiator heels to the cropped pants to the striped top to the trench coat :)
