I have a company that wants to use some of my photos on their commercial website. The creative agency that contacted me said that it is not industry standard to cite the photographer for commercial photography. I've not done this before. Can someone tell me if this is correct?

There is a saying in the commercial world, "Take the cash and leave the credit".

Now, if credit is important to you there are tons of lower paying assignments where you can see your name next to the image.

IMHO, photo credits are completely over rated and over valued by shooters that don't know better.

Even if your name was on the images, the next company would use the shooter their agency selected and really aren't fussed who shoots the images as long as they get what they want and are happy with.

If you want to get your name out there, use the money you make off the job for some marketing and promo materials.
