My wife and I left the kids with grandma and took off on a 4 day trip to Vegas. We stayed at the Aria at city center. I took the D700 and the 14-24mm only...also had the S95. Highlights: we saw zumanity, jabawockeez, ate at nobu and robuchon. Lowlights: we were so tired!

    Nice shots Daniel.

Thanks for dedicating that last one to me. I'm going to be working on an SP for my site so I promised to shoot a new one especially for you but here is an older shot using only window light to hold you over. mwink.gif

BTW, I'm about 20 lbs heavier right now. Have put on more muscle so you're in for a treat. rolleyes1.gif

    You guys are too funny.

Great shots, Daniel. I've lived in the area for 5 years now, and still not "done" Vegas, or taken the dam(n) tour. Your shots make me want to change that. And I think you should buy that dress for your wife for her next birthday. mwink.gif

Very nice shots. I spent two+ weeks working on Aria/City Center and am happy to see that it is holding up well and looks like it is not aging.

Great photos. How was Robuchon? Worth the money?

every damn cent! I am foodie and was kinda going in hesitantly..I mean how good can it really be? The food itself was superb of course but it was the entire experience..the ambience..the service..etc. For instance..they didn't just serve bread..they had bread cart with 20 differnet gourmet varieties and you picked what you wanted..then they took your selections back to the kitchen and warmed it up for you! yeah...really! Then the dessert cart was the same..and they sent you home with extra dessert and the menu and photos of the food. yeah..really!

with tip the meal was just north of $1300. haha..I justified it as "one time deal".

I spent a few weeks on site configuring the audio control and transport network and basically helping the contractor ring it out. There are more amplifiers in just the Convention Center section than there are in most football stadiums.

Sorry the pic is a little out of focus but it was the first one I found....

I understand the complaint about the walk, we did not have escalators or elevators when I was there. I lost some weight in the process.

    Outstanding captures Daniel. clap.gif

If it had been my wife in that $4,500 dress I would have insisted she buy it. Then when I tell her I want to buy the D4 when its released she can't complain.

Wow, incredible series of images!! We were in Vegas when they had the grand opening for the new city center and Aria.....it was quite the to-do and what an architectural marvel!
We also took the tour down into the bat cave of Hoover Dam. Creepy yes.
Really outstanding photos! Thanks for sharing!!!
