It was so nice yesterday evening I couldn't not take the camera out. When I got home from work the sun was out with some clouds still around. It was just about golden hour when I walked out of the house to head to the little pond. The clouds had rolled in and covered the entire sky. At that point I figured, oh well I wasn't going to see much anyway. I walked the path through the wood and came out to the pond and I see this big guy. When I started working my way around the pond to try to get closer, he flies almost right to me. Had to turn the ISO up a little and fought with the shutter speed, but I like the result. I hope others enjoy too.

And he flies away.

That's a beautiful GBH, and the images are so nice and sharp, with nice color contrast between the bird and the BG. And, like Robert said, nice reflection! Best, Pam

The first capture is the strongest of the set, good composition.

On teh thrid capture I woudl ahve toned down the highlights a tad and cloned out the partial wingtip reflections.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
