Galleries not visible with IE9

Today I installed the brand new Internet Explorer IE9.

It display my personal Photography homepage. But it does not display the images of galleries.

I found a workaround: In IE9 you can enable a "compatibility mode". With this enabled it does show gallery images.

But I doubt that general visitors will know that they should change it.

So, Smugmug please change the code that the galleries are displayed without "compatibility mode" as well.

Thanks a lot. I do like Smugmug very much.

Werner

Hi, I'm running IE9 with no compatibility mode, and your galleries show fine...

    Hi Andy

Thanks a lot for your quick reply.

So I'm glad to hear that it does not seem to be a general problem. I will do some further testing on my installation/PC.

I also installed IE9 yesterday - my galleries display fine, everything seems to work except the Uploader crashes. It appears for a millisecond, then: "A problem with this webpage caused Internet Explorer to close and re-open the tab"
    I checked Internet Options, it's pretty much wide-open. Maybe a problem with Java, I don't know . . .

No images in the gallery using IE9. They show in compatibility mode as well as every other browser I throw at the site when I need to test. But such oddness is a feature of using SM, right? All we need now is another Facebook button fiasco and this will be complete.

Same SM different day. A month since this thread was opened by the OP and no response as to what the issue was, I mean Andy can see it so there must be no issue. That's the SM way.

Hi, I'm sorry you are having trouble. I just loaded that gallery into IE9, native (not compatibility mode) and the images are showing up. If it's still not showing up for you, I'm certain we can help (we fully and completely support IE9). Please write our Support Heroes and let us troubleshoot with you from the help desk, thanks.

Oh one more thing to try, reset IE9 settings back to original defaults, that may help too.

Edit: Breck, one more thing to check, there's a tick box in the Advanced Settings of IE9 Internet Options - make sure that 'show pictures' is checked please?
