This was really fun: when she contacted me she had a very specific look she wanted, and told me she was getting a 40s vintage dress.
They've been married less than a year and he left for Japan a week after we shot this (He's ok, by the way, thank goodness.) We had
the first part of the session in a restaurant near me and the second part in a patch of green nearby. I had scoped out the area
beforehand and found these bales of hay. It was SO windy, and I couldn't have done it without my assistant, who also donated her
time for the session. The octabox was flying everywhere, it was that windy.

Anyway, not in the blog yet, so you guys got first dibs :)

Challenges:
Super windy outside
He's so tall!
Had to work fast due to time constraints: 1.5 hrs.

Comments, suggestions, etc appreciated. Thanks!

Very nice set of Shots. The B&W series is wonderful, about the only change (if you could redo) would be her expression as he smelling her neck in the last one: more of wry smile, maybe eyes closed, have her a tad closer. It looks marginally like she is leaning away, yet her expression is not one of repulsion or disgust.

But there are certainly some keepers in there for them!

Thanks, jdryan3! No redo, but in the future, I will keep that in mind. I see what you mean, though. It does look kind of awkward, probably because he's super tall and had to bend so far and she had to lean out, and he didn't *quite* hit the spot on her neck. On the other hand, I just love the way his hands are on her arm like she's so delicate. I will keep a better eye next time for sure!

    Thanks again :)

Very creative series. I would love to see the final two restaurant ones in b&W. They are all great but that vintage look really grabs me.

great stuff..the dude looks huge and manly! The BW seems to do more justice to the 40's theme.

These are super fun and creative! Such a great idea. I love shoots that become more than "stand here and smile". And this definitely qualifies.

Favorite shot: the one with the bear because it just looks so natural. He makes the shot. Love these.

Thanks, guys! I appreciate the kind words (and I really need it right about now lol). I just received their album, and she's just now going to see her photo gallery, so I'm really excited about what she thinks :) She's excited too.
