A few shots from our pet Guineas. Their still on the young side, so they are pretty scruffy looking.

    Super Guineas
And I was waiting for guinea pigs to come into view! These are lovely and the little white ?Pekin trying to blend in there is cute. Our neighbour has 20 or so Guinea Fowl, I'll have to go in his 40-acre forest this weekend see if I can find them. They are great alarm clocks in the morning, but are often heard, seldom seen.

Good shots. Are these really pets? or is "pet" a temporary designation until its supper time? rolleyes1.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

They really are pets. At our house even the chickens die of old age, or the occasional coyote attacks. My wife and I are big softies and could never kill any thing that has lived on our property.

Thanks for the comments Trish, Ben, Harry and Possum.

    Regards,

    Rare Guineas
They made a brief appearance this morning, most of the shots were back views, they don't like their space threatened. We used to see huge numbers of them when I worked in Kenya for a couple of years, it is lovely to have them living in a semi-wild state here, like a little bit of Africa next door, and running free.

Konica Minolta DiMage Z6. ISO100, 200th, f5.6 (I think) and going back this weekend to be exchanged for a Panasonic FZ30. Love the Z6 to handle, and the macro is great, but the stiff clunky zoom action and the shutter lag make the decision easy.

Interesting shots/pets, Steve. Thanks for sharing. So....really...do they taste like chicken? eek7.gifrolleyes1.gif Personally...I'd prefer a dozen long necked Guinness. thumb.gif

Neat shots Possum. Interesting to see they've gone "wild" in the US. rolleyes1.gif
