7D Focus Question

I just recently purchased a new 7D. Looks like something might be wrong with it though....so I wanted to ask if anyone new if there is something I could check on it.


As I look through the camera to take a picture, I press the shutter and the auto focus locks and makes the "beep" sound....like it's locked focus..but it looks blurry to me...very blurry....but I go ahead and press the shutter the rest of the way down and the picture seems to be tack sharp. What does this sound like?

    If your digital images are sharp, then autofocus seems to be working.

    It just does not look sharp through your viewfinder when you look through?

    Do you wear glasses?? Or need glasses? If not...

    There is a dial that can be rotated + or - to the right of your pentaprism on top of your camera. This dial helps focus the viewfinder image for spectacle wearers; make sure yours is near 0, and see if the viewfinder isn't clearer. They get rotated out of position sometimes.

    Man...I'm a dummy...that's what it was...the pentaprism...I turned the dial...it looks good..thanks!
