A buddy of mine is a designer. He needed a head shot for his website so I said come on over.
After shooting in the studio for a while we headed outside for a few quick pics.
This was my favorite.

    I like the shot, but I certainly would not call this a headshot. Try cropping it down to his shoulders +/- and see how that looks. Even if you do want to go and turn this into a torso shot I would still go and crop out the pants/below the jacket.

    Ya.
    We did all the basic head shots in the studio. Once we got those, wanted something
    a little more edgee, so we took the lights out side.

    Love the idea!

    I think I would have tried a shot with him looking into the distance 270deg out of L frame.
