Wow, really well done... I looked into the GH1 after seeing this photo.

    Thanks!

The GH1 is a nice camera. It's not a fullframe or an APS-H/APS-C and the DR often shows it but it's #2 as M4/3 cameras go only beaten by the GH2. It's "better" than all other M4/3 cameras besides that tho - including the G2. As IQ and noise goes anyway.

    It's pros are:
    1. It can be had NEW for under $300 (no lens).
    2. It's hackable so the video is better than any M4/3 (including the GH2).
    3. The video approaches and competes with pro-body DSLRs when hacked properly.
    4. As with all M4/3 there are an abundance of legacy lenses available!
    5. Control functions are best of class - again behind only the GH2
    6. EVF Is best from any other digital camera. (I like it better actually than the "improved" GH2's.)
    7. Swivel LCD can be closed in on itself - this also allows for a 500+ shot battery life.
    8. Fairly OK build quality!
    9. The 2X crop factor makes it nice for telephotography.

    It's cons are:
    1. Pushing or Pulling exposures much brings out terrible banding noise.
    2. Clumsy control layout. Maybe the worst of any entry or mid level DSLR ever.
    3. Panasonic VERY often refuses to honor their warrantee siting the claus that specifies they don't have to fix it if you used it. (Crazy huh?!?!)
    4. Not offered in Body Only in many countries.
    5. No other languages are available for Asian models.
    6. DR is of course lower than APS-C models not to mention larger sensor cameras.
    7. Almost all of the Lumix lenses are WAY WAY overpriced for the (generally) low-average quality that you get.
    8. No in-body-image-stabalization (IBIS)
    9. The 2X crop factor makes it hard to find WA & UWA lenses lower than about 35mm equiv.
