SoCal Sun Rays

Unusual for SoCal, we got some nice clouds. Setting sun was sending its rays down, so I just had to make a few stops on my way home and take a few shots...
St. Maximilian Kolbe church was my first stop, so I used its bell tower as a screen against direct sun:
Several layers of clouds created rather dramatic effect in the skies:
I was on my way to my favorite "sunset shooting" point, when I accidentally looked towards East and noticed the rainbow (with no rain whatsoever, it was a nice surprise):
View towards Ventura:
I just love the sun rays:

A really nice set of clouds and rays, but #2 does it for me. A wonderful shot.
Thanks for sharing,

I'm glad I caught it. Today we got our std issue clear blue again:-)
Cheers!
I agree, #2 prolly turned out to be the best (when I was sorting and rating the shots while performing PP, that was the only one that got ***** :-)
Thanks for looking!
I love that rainbow shot.

I was missing your waterfalls lately!
Thanks for your comment!
If you look into the gallery there will be some with more horizon...
Cheers!
And is it just me, or has image # 2 been inverted? Notice the shadow that seems to be higher then the cloud below it ....

Thanks! 18-55 kit somewhere in the middle, here's the exif:
Aperture: f/9.0
ISO: 200
Focal Length: 39mm
Exposure Time: 0.0006s (1/1600)
NO!:): That's how it was!
There were several layers of clouds, and the sun was already setting down, so the lower clouds dropped shadow on the higher ones:-)
I guess that's the reason why this shot is everyone's favorite:-)
Cheers!
Thank you very much for your comments, guys, appreciate it!

Nik - But doesn't the sun set behind these clouds (over the Pacific) and not in the direction of the shadow? The shadow being cast makes it look the sun is setting in the East.
IMHO
