5 Hours in San Diego

Recently, I made a trip out to the west coast for business. I was going to be in San Diego for a total of three days!! Business would involve only 30 to 40 minutes of time on Friday morning and the rest of the time would be mine.

The day before (Wednesday) I put in a 15 hour day plus 3 hours before my flight so I was going out there on very little sleep but I figured I could make up for it over the three days.

After landing I jumped into my rental and started driving the coast. One hour into the drive I charged my phone and to my surprise there was a message from work telling me they resolved the issue while I was in flight and to come home.

I got on the phone with corp. travel and they booked me a flight back to MN that took off at 10:30PM and landed in Minneapolis at 4:30AM. Basically, what was going to be 72 hours in SoCal all of the sudden turned into a 5 hour break between 8 hours of total flight.

With only 5 hours in SD this is all I was able to come away with.

    Well done!
Nice shots. You certainly put the short time you had to good use.

As an aside, don't you just love it when things like that happen? Once, when I lived on the East coast, my boss in LA called to say there was an important meeting at the LA HQ that I had to attend. Flew coast to coast on a Tuesday for the Wednesday meeting. When I got to work Wednesday morning, was told the meeting was canceled. eek7.gif

Wound up flying back home to NJ Wednesday mid-day.
    Regards,

You got spme fine images in the time you had. At least you had the benefits of all that fine airline food and comfort.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks yendikeno. I know where you are coming from. I had a list of 15 places I wanted to hit and instead I covered only 3.

Thanks Harry. I skipped the airline food and made a visit to Anthony's on the waterfront area. The crabcakes were top notch!!
