Spring Springtail 1, looking over the edge...

First decent sized springer that I have seen this year. Found it on the underside of a house brick, which I turned over a placed on a shelf just inside the shed. Then fired a few shots off. It was nearly dark, and in the shed it was dark, so I had to illuminate the springer with a torch while I focused, and then triggered the shutter with the cable release. Really needed 3 hands but only have two, so getting it was reasonably awkward.

It's an Orchesella villosa, just as it is looking over the edge of the brick itself.

Taken with the Sigma 105 and 2 extension tubes.

C&C as always...
