The Andreotti Family Farm in Half Moon Bay, California, has been a family business for 85 years. Half Moon Bay is a coastal community known for its annual Pumpkin Festival and Pumpkin Contest (winners hover around 1,500 pounds!). The proprietor, Terry, continues the family business. John (in #6, is a neighbor whose hobby is metalworking. He made the signs seen in #5 & #6.

Looks like a fun place. I like the low wide angle in #6.

Thanks! Just two days ago, I saw a writeup in a local website about Terry and this family business ("since 1926"). It was a fun place to take photos because of the sense of "old" and the lighting (or lack thereof).

#3 was my "anchor shot" of trying a series instead of one or two photos. (The series concept did not fare well with only your one response...). Unlike our supermarkets, she does not use a sprayer to keep the vegetables moist and fresh. A bucket and a handful of other veggies works just as well.

On a side note, this was the "maiden voyage" of my 24 - 70L lens and I was wowed by the color rendition that is displayed in these shots.

Congratulations on your new toy. The color is, indeed, very good. :ivar
