    ** grabs the telescope ** OH yeah.... I see it. eek7.gif I understand your desire for that "longer" lens. I'm dyin' with this 200mm. It's a great lens....but often times I don't even bother trying to shoots BIF. I want a 400mm next. Want to help me rob a bank or two? **looks at that picture of the Canon 400mm f/2.8 "L"** :D

    Did you try cropping this birdE ??

    Congrats, that first BIF is always a thrill. I think everyone should have a 500mm.

    Thanks Harry and BirdMan. I don't even know why I bothered I was shooting a low flying plane (which came out ok) I saw the bird and just clicked :giggle

    I'm going on holiday thisweekend so I'm hoping I see some Pelicans, I love pelicans:D
