I was driving home from shooting white tailed deer (with my camera:rofl - see Wildlife) when I decided to stop at the top of this hill, intrigued by the ominous clouds moving toward the valley where I live. C&C always welcome.

We had torrential rains about two weeks ago and the 8' high snowbanks and 4' deep cover on the fields literally vanished within a couple of days. There's still snow in the woods - but any open spaces are BARE wings.gif

This is what I call "boot sucking swamp season"rolleyes1.gif

Terrific composition, Ceci! I really like the curves in the road and the power lines. The sky is a bit blown out in the highlights but the clouds are great--they definitely give some depth and texture to the shot.

Thanks Lauren. The sky was amazingly bright that day. I was playing with my new 20mm ultra wide angle lens.

You knows age is catching up when you get down to bumper level on the car to shoot and then cling to the hood to pull yourself back up orolleyes1.gif it wasn't pretty. Luckily no one came by at the wrong moment.mwink.gif

Oh, do I identify with that "clinging to the hood" phenomenon! rolleyes1.gif I often find myself crouching down for a shot, only to ask myself "why did I do that?" And have made good use of my truck bumper. Yikes!! eek7.gif
