It's a good play on the theme, but the lack of depth of field bothers me. neither the front shoot, nor the syringe looks in focus to me (maybe part of the syringe is in focus? If you couldn't shoot with more depth of field, maybe put the focus on the front shoot?

Plus, the abundance of bright dry leaves is distracting. This might be one of the cases that calls for artistic manipulation of the scene before taking the photo.
Yeah, if you recognize the avatar, new user name.

Thanks for looking! I can reshoot. I PP'd but shot as is! I can try to groom the scene some, but it is mucky waters edge and not easy.

Glad you like the concept! thumb.gif

Nice thought, but for me, although a syringe, I'm not sure that I view it as a hypodermic

Your prerogative. It was located at the shore of a pond in an inner city park, where homeless sleep through the night in warmer times.

In that context I took it for the meaning I did. I count it as the bonus. The reeds are the 'rushes ' I went there to shoot! :D

On the title issue, as discussed in the The Dgrin Sharp Shooters Challenges - General Discussion thread, my entry might have been better titled something like Spring shoots, new and old!

Might have garnered more votes, or not......... rolleyes1.gif

Even the winner had Rush in the title! :D (Congratulations SimpsonBrothers!)
