What is going on in the bridge wires?

It was hand held but this doesn't look like camera shake. It looks like some kind of distortion? :scratch

It's just atmospheric or heat distortion.

Although I know it was probably not a hot day (esp if this was taken recently), the colors and the distortion make it look like it it was.
