Storm over the Flinthills,Ks.

Was driving through the Flinthills here in Kansas while this storm was rolling in. 3 bracketed shots, Photomatix. The scene was very dramatic with the clouds lighting up the hills.

    Beautiful ... the Flinthills is one of the beauties of KS. One thing about Kansas .. it will produce some awesome clouds come spring time :D

    Very Nice
    Hard to bring out the color this time of year, you did that well. I have spent many days in the hills just northwest of Eureka fishing on the east and west branches of Fall River.
    We are heading back there around Memorial day. The hills are one of the best kept secrets out there. Very beautiful and incredibly photographic.
    Some of the most insane electrical storms I've ever seen in my life.

    I love the Flint Hills....very peaceful. This was near Beaumont,Ks. Was on my way home from SE Kansas winding down a 2 day photo trip. Was heading for the wind turbines and I came up over a hill, looked in my rearview mirror and saw this scene unfolding...glad I stopped.

    Amanda, the way it was presented on your smugmug gallery is far better than the attached image. I hope others can see how beautiful it was presented on your gallery. I should be the one learning and aspiring to get those kinds of photographs from you. Cheers! clap.gif

    Yes, attaching is very tough on images. It compresses them highly, and you are much better embedding from smugmug.
