    Fantastic shot! Love the runner's expression. Love the seated kid peering around the "obstruction." Love the umpire's implied concentration. Just a great image.

    great work!!

    Shots like that usually make me wonder.. how do you grab focus on such a shot?

    Perhaps it is my 70-200 bigma that isn't fast enough, but I know i would have to have it focused prior to the situation...

    Thanks guys...
    I put my camera (D300) into continuous focus... usually works pretty good.
    Also started shooting before the slide... at 8fps one gets lucky every once in a while. grin.
