Help with search finding galleries

Hi folks... I think I must be doing something wrong or have a setting wrong or something.

I have a pool of photos in a gallery called pixel pool. From here I have collected photos to various public galleries. I noticed that these "collection" galleries were not found in searches and, with the help of some very helpful folks, learned that I likely need at least one original photo in a gallery for it to be found when searching.

So... I added a photo to each gallery on 3/23 and waited a few days for indexing ... but search still does not find any of the galleries (except the pixel pool gallery that has all of the original photos).

Where am I going wrong.. or is patience the answer and indexing will kick in any time now with a happy result.

I try searching for M80 and the photos in "pixel pool" are found, but not the M80 gallery.

It's going to take more than 3 days. It may take weeks or months.

Thanks Mike... just to be certain I understand. I'm referring to the internal SmugMug search, not an engine like Google.

To find a SmugMug gallery it will take weeks or months? That seems a bit strange... especially since the gallery I created with no collected photos is already found.

I was referring to Google searches...sorry. No clue about internal searches.

Smugmug galleries generally seemed to be indexed no longer than a couple hours after uploading. There are a number of settings that prevent them from ever being indexed. Unlisted and password protected galleries or galleries in a password protected site are never indexed for the public and the SmugIslands settings in gallery settings must also be set to allow public indexing/searching.

Thanks jfriend... not unlisted, no password, Hello World and Hello Smuggers turned on.

If it still doesn't index, then I'd suggest you contact the help desk directly.

Thanks again... searches are working now.. guess I just needed a bit more patience.
