Unfortumately my Alma Matter lost by 1 point... I blame the refs, but that's another story. Here are some quick picks from Saturday mornings game between the Bishop Noll Warriors and the Park Tudor uh.. something.. or other. :D

The 1D4 loaner from Canon makes me want to never use my 5DII again for sports. LOL. I'm thinking I MIGHT pickup a 7D and wait to see what is supposedly coming in June/July from Canon. Rumors of a 1D5... My luck I'd buy a 1D4 and it would be announced a week later!

Laughing.gif, Thanks. Easy to do with a rapid firing 10fps... and a nice well lit place. 1/500 @ 4, ISO 1600-2000. Flashes there were on, being used by "official" photographer for state association.. must had been 6 stops over what I was shooting because my frame was WHITE when we hit the same shot.

    Good shots Jim!thumb.gif

Would you tell us what lens, and whether you used single shot/burst/AI-servo/IS?

Shots at 100% are very clean and detail is good. Did you use NR, and if so which?

    Helps us to learn!

    Thanks.

70-200/2.8IS, the old one.. Not the new one, I'm not that lucky yet. :)

AI-Servo, no IS.. Turned it off.

No Noise reduction... Just post-processed with Capture One V6.

    Thanks for the info Jim!

You have my admiration for taking on CaptureOne6.eek7.gif I quake when I open it and see the GUI which looks like a jetliner dash before fly-by-wire tech. Tiny little icons by the score strewn round the screen! Do you know any good tutes for learning this app?

Well, I've been using it since I want to say V3? When it had (UGH) one repository for all the settings and thumbs.. It's not really as bad as it looks and I don't even use all of it's functionality. Hell, I just found out there are layers in C1 that you can localize your adjustments to within the raw processing engine itself (blog.phaseone.com I believe shows it.) But other than that, it's been learned.. and I still don't know much. Maybe if I end up buying a pahse one back for my Mamiya I'll be forced to learn more.
