Just a spring flower eeking out a living in a sandy canyon. As always I'm trying out a few different ways to process. Opinions welcome....thank you for looking.

I like how you took these. First one is my favorite. I can see more texture in the yellow flowers.

Very nice use of diagonal composition here, Nate. I was thinking, just for fun or experimentation, what if you change the color of the background to blue? Now, that would really make the flowers pop out more. :D Would you be kind enough to let me know what lens did you use here? Thanks! thumb.gif Btw, your smugmug gallery is totally spectacular. thumb.gifthumbthumb.gifthumbthumb.gif
Sitting quietly, doing nothing. Spring comes and the grass grows by itself.

Thanks for the kind words Jiro. I shot this with a Pentax DA-L 55-300mm kit lens. I'm learning that if I stay back and use the zoom to get me in closer I can get some nice DOF and bokeh. This shot for instance was laying in the sand from about 15 feet away.
