A realistic showing of a bird in flight, two as a matter of fact.

Come to Mama,

That is closer, and it is a pair: pretty.............but not close enough, so I follow a bird with my lens, and the darn bird flies into the sun:

Someone probably thought this was going to have a happy ending with a great raptor shot. Not so, this is a "reality" show!

Thanks, Trish, the darn birds were playing like that. They would go way over there, then come closer to me.................they sure weren't go for some stump to pose on.

Yesterday, where I was, the Snowys took off playing, too. Yesterday there were too many trees, the lens couldn't get a focus. But with those hawks, I was in an observation tower. Nothing between me and them except for lots of space.

I hate to be the one to tell you this Ginger, but these are turkey vultures,
not hawks. You'll be waiting a long time for them to sit and pose for you.
These darn birds soar all day long.

    But they're still good pics.

    A up close look.

Nice shots folks. Ginger.....be careful. Keep moving...and DON'T SIT DOWN!!! :D If you see a flock of these guys circling over head.....quick..send me your camera equipment. eek7.gif :uhoh thumb.gif (jk). Did you use that fancy 400mm on these, Ginger? I need to get me one of those bad boys. I really want that f/2.8 version. My itty bitty 200mm isn't cuttin....capturing the burhds. :cry
