    Great light and good composition in #1. I like it. #2 doesn't say much to me, though on second viewing I noticed something a little weird--it looks like there's someone (something?) with a spear (or something) behind the figure on the left. Might have been more interesting without that figure blocking the view.

    Thanks. Yeah, the second one isn't much...but I like the background...very Alaskan...sign advertising furs, alaskan mint..etc. The first one is my favorite.

    The first has a lot going for it, but there's just a little too much dead space on the right hand side for me.

    Thanks for the input...I was worried about having him look "out" of the photo. Maybe I will play with the crop.
