Go away proof watermark

I meant to apply a watermark to a set of images in a gallery. The preset automatically goes to the smugmug proof watermark. Now it is stuck and it won't go way. Is there anyway I can make it go away?
I changed it this morning (turned it off and hit save) and then told my client to go look at the gallery (they had complained not being able to see the pictures (There's a big proof over my face). Evidently, it did not go away. Client calls back (It's still there). I check the gallery settings and sure enough it isl off. I figure it's one of those things that takes some time for it to change. Hours go by. I chech again. It is still there. I check the setting and yes it is still off. I change it to another watermark and hit save. Hours go by. It is still there.
What is going on? What am "I" doing wrong? Is this just one of those smugmug aggrivations?
Never mind that my client is still waiting to see the images. I should probably just delete the gallery and start over like I did last time. And by the way. I cleared my cache, but I should haven't to do this or tell my client to do this, should I?

Natural selection is responsible for every living thing that exists.
D3s, D500, D5300, and way more glass than the wife knows about.
No need to wipe any slate clean and start over. What I posted above will work.
