The thread "Looking up into the Trees - Durham NC" reminded me of these photos I took; so I thought I would share my "Look Up" experience
In the MeKong Delta, Viet Nam. Not sure if a walking path or we were in a boat.
We were on a walking path on this one:
And there's other reasons to look up than just to admire the trees and blue skies.... spiders.... spiders.... spiders....
2 weeks prior to our trip; I was bitten by a spider and was on meds. I walked into the bathroom to take a shower and just as I was flinging my towel over the top I saw that. I stopped. Walked out of the bathroom and asked a friend to come in and "kill" a big spider for me. He walked in and walked right back out, "Most of the time when friends ask me to kill a huge spider; it's not huge at all.... this is a MONSTER"
After we got rid of the spider... next a cockroach.... then I got stung by what I thought was an ant... and when visiting my wife's family in the country we brought ticks back to the hotel.
