Well... It seems spring time is in full swing now, all the birds are out doing bird stuffs, there's bees out, and, our state flower here in Texas, the Blue Bonnet, is in full bloom. I found a field near by and stopped and snapped a few, here you go, enjoy.

As usual, you can click on these and see a very large high detailed view, if you wish to.

Photos taken on my Nikon D70, with my Tamron lens.
See my signature below for full specs on my lens.

No post processing done on these what so ever, exactly as shot, I just converted to TIF/PNG for the respective websites and resized-down for some sites.
Also of note: I was using the "sunny" white balance pre-set inside the camera, and did not set white balance manually like i sometimes do.

Are these also called 'Lupines' or something? I only know them as Blue Bonnets, here in Texas. Also I should probably know who Dennis Moore is..... eek7.gif guess it's time for some googling.

$84.00? Really? May I ask where can I buy one at such price? mwink.gif

I bought mine on eBay, (Brand New) and here is my exact Tamron lens I bought, from the same seller I bought it from, except seems he has it up to $89 now instead of the $84 I paid for mine a while back. http://cgi.ebay.com/Tamron-55-200mm-f-4-0-5-6-DI-II-LD-AF-Lens-f-Nikon-NEW-/390279519374?pt=Camera_Lenses&hash=item5ade78dc8e

It's DX-format for APS-C crop factor DSLR's and uses low-dispersion glass for.. as you can see, good image quality while zooming. And the aperture on it stays at F/4.5 through the majority of the zoom range, from 55mm out to 150mm where it jumps up towards 5.6 at 200mm.

Most of my friends I show images to still can't believe these come from a 6.1 megapixel camera from 2004 :)

Thanks, Kithylin. I can't seem to confirm this on the link, but does it have a steel mount or plastic just like the 55-200mm f4 -5.6 VR Nikon lens? Any reply would be appreciated.

Plastic mount, plastic body with rubber grip, so probably not really a "pro" lens, but still I've been swapping it on and off nearly daily with my 28-80mm one and I haven't broken any of the plastic bits yet, comes with a hood too.

The focus ring is kind of a narrow bit near the end of the lens body, so doesn't give much to grip for manual focusing, however i've found if you extend the zoom part, you can grip the plastic part that extends out and twist that for focusing.

That was meant to be a hint that Dennis Moore was a Monty Python character from the old TV show! :D

I've always wanted to see a field of flowers like this. My allergies would hate it, but I'd love it. #3 is my favorite thumb.gif

I overdosed on Loratadine tablets and had to wash my face off when I got home, but it was worth it. :D
