Viola dewdrop refractions

Dewdrop refractions using a viola flower, does give rather nice colours.
All 5Dmk2/MPE-65/430Ex flash and focus stacked by hand except #2 where I used helicon focus.

Love this set Brian! Always a pleasure to see your dewdrop shots! What kind of focal length is needed for these kind of shots? I want to buy a macro lens and would love to try this in the future..

I continue to be amazed. Incredible series. 2 and 3 I think are my favorites, but I honestly can't decide. They are all great.

Bryan - more a question of magnification than focal length - you need to be ahooting around 2:1 magnification or higher for these. I'm using a canon MPE-65 lens for these shots.
