    I like #8 the best -- guy is in his own little world, in the midst of the hurried airport scene.

    My favorite for this challenge would be #3, but I think 4 and 6 might also work if you prefer them. In #3 the vibrance of the color, picturing the motion, and implied adrenaline rush for a gambler all contribute to making it feel like a strong candidate IMHO. :)

    I'd say 3 then 8 in that order. I concur with sapphire73's comments about #3.

    I like #2 and #3 with #3, leading that little bit more. Maybe you can squeeze some PP on #2 to make it pop a little more.... Hopefully the tables treated you well and got some new camera gear?!? I always bug my wife and say if I double up, I'm getting a lens. It's been a while since I got a lens :)

    I vote for either the spinning wheels or the gathering storm. With clouds like that overhead, I'd be rushing for cover

    Thanks for all of the comments! I really appreciate them.

    That storm front was really amazing! The wind was coming strongly out of the southwest and then abruptly turned 90 degrees coming from the northwest. It generated an F2 tornado about 30 miles east of us. My first instinct in these situation is, "I've got to see this!" I would probably be one of those swept away in the tsunami.

    I am not a gambler. Losing is too painful. I had a couple of friends visiting who wanted to go to the casino, so I decided it would be a great opportunity for some photos, which is my addiction. :D And then I had a short layover in Las Vegas, so could not pass up the opportunity for the airport scenes.

    I had a few tweaks that I'd like your opinions on.

    I am leaning toward #3 - Spinning Wheel original... There is certainly an addictive rush to those things!

    but I really like the Incoming shots too.

    Not much help, am I?

    no, I think it is just my personal preference, and maybe because I relate to it... rolleyes1.gif

    but I think of the incoming shots, I like the square crop or "closer" because I don't get distracted by other things around the edges.

    Waited to reply until I could look at a monitor rather than my iPhone to compare the spinning wheels. :)

    My preferences are 3 or 3a for spinning wheel or 4a for incoming. I like the wider shot for incoming and the perspective it provides. (I think it could be cropped a bit at the sides if you like, but not drawn to the square crop.) If I had to pick one out of the three, I'd pick 3. I really think the implied adrenaline rush for a gambler is a plus for this challenge. Like you, I am not a gambler, and people have taken me to a restaurant in Johannesburg, South Africa where you have to walk past the slot machines and it makes me very sad to see very poor people sitting at them. But setting all that aside, I think it is a strong entry for this challenge.

    I like Incoming 4c - closer. Makes me think you better get out of the way - now! I keep going back & forth on the spinning wheels - they are cool, but don't say rush to me as much - but I do get the rush connection so would likely do well. I think the original would be best, I kinda like the green better but red seems to be a more "urgent" color if that makes any sense.

    Thanks for all of the help! I think I will go with Spinning Wheel original. A lot of people seem to relate to it. And there are fewer in the gallery with a similar concept than with Incoming.
