I love a good parade. Don't you? I swear to god, when those bagpipes kick off the event I just about cry every time. I challenged myself to document interaction and reaction today. As much as I love a parade, looking at innumerable pictures of the same kinds of things is a snooze fest.

Nice series. FWIW, I like the bagpipers' feet. What was the occasion?

It's the annual "Daffodil Parade," a spring festival.

    Thanks Sara and Richard!

Excellent stuff IndieGirl! The statement in #3 with two people of different ages in their wheeled transportation, with the one handing a candy to the other is fantastic. I'd crop in just a bit and put the focus more strongly on that interaction. Great eye and great catch.

They are all really good. Our spring parade is this Saturday so I'll be doing the same with some new inspiration. clap.gif

    Excellent feedback. Thanks.

Be sure to post your pics from your spring parade. To this thread, even. I'd love to see them.

Nice set. Good to focus on the interaction of the audience and the artists, rather then on the parade itself. Last year we had the Giro bicycle race here in Amsterdam. I tried hard to catch the very fast riders with many shots, and just made some snaps from the audience. Turned out that the latter were way more interesting. To me that was an important lesson.
