John I set the D700 to L0.3 and that's what the EXIF reads...I thought it would be ISO100...perhaps a bit of an oddity?
I don't think there is a finer lens for portrait work than the 85 1.4
After a few years I finally sent the body back to Nikon for a sensor cleaning and to have a the rubber glued back onto the grip.
She's as good as new now :-)
Exposures look good.
When using one source off camera lighting try to make the nose shadow look like it comes from the sun, which means the nose shadow goes down and to the side.
