Shot #73 yesterday, almost died

So we headed out to the Golden Gate Bridge yesterday morning to catch some rush hour traffic. I get up on the bridge, which is empty, set up my tripod and camera, waiting for the perfect moment to take the shot that I am looking for. Looking through my camera I hear a little "Honk Honk" and thinking it's on the street since I'm looking away, all of a sudden this little mini truck comes flying by me and almost clipped my elbow and leg! Scared the crap out of me! I had no idea that anything besides people and bikes were allowed on the bridge.

Really sweet shot - not worth your life though - am very glad he missed you! So is that the "rogue" truck on the right? Sure doesn't look like much room to spare there.

Yeah, there wasn't.

Thought the walkway was just for people and bikes, not sure what that guy was doing.

The mini-trucks are used by bridge maintenance to cart around the paint crews. Always seems like there's a fleet of them on the bridge.

That is a most impressive catch! I'm suprised you even took the shot, at that point they woulda been scooping my sorry butt off the ground after I passed out.

hell who am I kidding...you woulnd't have ever caught me on foot on a bridge anyway, I'm scared of heights. :cry

They should learn to slow the hell down! First time I've seen one before, kinda surprising.
