How cool. It almost looks like a stage set rather than the street. I like it.

Thanks for the comments guys. I haven't been too confident about this one for a while. I liked the stage-like qualities but wasn't sure if it was just me...

I like all the light emanating from the cart, like a beacon, and everyone else in silhouette.

I wouldn't recognize this as a Michswiss shot--it's a little different, but I like it very much.

EDIT: THis has me thinking of B.D.'s last post--how though it has dogs in it, it's clearly a B.D. shot, a style easily recognizable.
I wonder how many of us would recognize each others shots without a name to them. While I like the idea of having a certain easily recognizable style, I like the surprise of seeing something very different from you, equally stellar, yet different. Just got me thinking is all.

You know, that might make for a fun exercise--Guess the Photographer. We could make it even more interesting if we let people try to imitate someone else's style. If there's any interest, let me know and I'll try to figure out the mechanics to keep the posts anonymous.

    I like it!
I don't know if I could pull of the emulating of someone else, but I would try and already have some ideas. I like the guessing part too--I think I'm pretty confident I could spot them, but headscratch.gif--I could be wrong:)

Very interesting photograph that doesn't quite feel like a photograph.

In its lighting, use of space and what I can best describe as a certain sterility (there is a literal and an emotional distance between the viewer and the people the picture) some of Edward Hopper's work comes to mind.

    I like it very much.
