America Southwest, Part 1

Just returned from a week in the southwest, spanning Vegas/Valley of Fire to Capitol Reef, with some remote locations in between. Logged around 2000 driving miles. I've got an overwhelming number of photos to go through, but here are a few I've processed so far. I'll post more in the upcoming weeks, but looking for some feedback as I decide which to put in the portfolio. Critiques much appreciated!

I really like that first shot of the hoodoos.

A correction on your last shot. It's simply "Dixie National Forest"...not Dixieland.

Wonderful set, Chris! My favorites are #3 and #4. Great skies in both, beautiful reflection in the water and wonderful shadows. I could look at these all day!

Really nice set all around Chris. Love your first image, really nice job on the B/W conversion, reminds me of a bunch of toadstolls. Great sky for your Horseshoe Bend sunset. really nice find in the V Cliffs, a lot of movement in the rock plus a reflection!

Love the horseshoe bend shot. Some moron (me) didn't realized Sunset WAS the shot, not Sunrise.. So I hiked the short little ways in negative temps to find at sunrise (after waiting an hour because I forgot to change time) in that freezing cold, Sunrise SUCKS

Ha Jim that sucks. Sorry to hear about your misadventure. When I went it was a little chilly, but standing on the edge in heavy winds was a bit nerve-racking.

Chris....These are all amazing. Horseshoe Bend is my favorite of the bunch. The sky lighting is gorgeous.
