Early effort

I used to take close up and Macro photos years ago with my Olympus film camera, now this is the first shot I have felt reasonably comfortable uploading here. Having said that, I look at this picture and feel that there is nothing to grab you, but I am not sure why. Am I expecting too much?
The shot is straight out of the camera, not cropped, only resized for the site.
I will be grateful for comments / suggestions.

Not bad at all.
the framing is rather tight and there does not seem to be much detail sharpness showing. May just need a spot of USM sharpening.

Thanks Brian, it was the lack of punch compared with others here that bothered me. Ummm.... USM = Unsharp Mask?
