I'm expecting this new product to arrive shortly:
GamiLight SQUARE 43 softbox release

Looks interesting IMHO. Have no idea about the availability in US, but it looks like they're making their way to Europe already.

What do you consider it limitations?
Portable studio limitations if possible? What would you consider to much for one or even two of these boxes. Head and shoulder portraits for 1,2 or 3 individuals. What are your thoughts for portability, and limitations for such a application?

Looks to be 60ish bucks. Hopefully these become available in the US. I would love to try one out. I could get 3 of them for the price of 1 Lastolite.

When folded, it is 22"x11.5". Cannot really fit it in a gear bag, but it comes with its own very thin bag. If you buy more than 1 of these, you could probably fit 3-5 into one bag and slip them into your trunk. I say that's portable enough for such a large diffuser.

Application wise... It should be OK for a small group. For the full length photo, you would need two of these gamilights.

It does not appear to have any internal diffusion panel. That, to me, is a big disadvantage..

Yes. It attaches with velcro and is easily removable if you don't want to use it.

i don't think an internal baffle would do any good here. it would cut the light more, that's for sure. when the flash is set to 14mm or so, the light is even. here is 14mm vs. 105mm:

Could you not in order to achieve more spread within the softbox attach a diffuser cover cap to help with more even light!
