I have been playing around recently with the Fractalius filter for Photoshop.

It supposedly finds hidden fractal patterns in your images. (not sure exactly what that means)

Here are some of my Fractilius images for your consideration

I normally don't like totally changed Phtoshopped filter images, but these are all awesome. So awesome, I might have to give it a go.:) I like the heron the best too.

Thanks everyone! I know filter effects aren't held in the highest regard by everyone but there is something different about Fractilius. It has the ability to find hidden patterns in images and transform them into something special. I know it doesn't work on every image but when it does....wow! I've really enjoyed experimenting with it.

In many cases I find out of the box filter effects to be kinda hokey, but these I like!!!!

Unfortunately (at least for this plug-in) I am on a Mac. :cry

Well I downloaded the demo version today and have been playing around some. I do love it for some images. Just not sure yet if I want to spend $40 on it yet. These were some of my small web size images to begin with....should have cropped the frame off my dog, but it's obviously just a test anyway. I tried it with a full size image and it took about 8 minutes to process, so that's putting a little damper on it. I kind of need to get a faster computer anyway for my 7D HD video, but it's not too slow normally.

Heck yeah, Brad. Not sure how you gather info from your photography club, but send them all the links to show where you're giving them business. They have a lot of other filters. Maybe by off chance they'd be so kind to at least give them to you for free.

Thanks, Art. I had a picture I was playing with earlier with a rose in it and it did make it look really cool. I think roses would probably be a good subject with this plug in.
