I shot this yesterday and I knew as I framed the shot that I was copying MIke Penn's shot. I did it from memory and I processed it from memory.

I will try and dig up his shot now.
Richard, I was thinking about the exercise you were mulling over and it was a happy coincidence when I saw this shot.

As an aside--Does this look like something from a Stanley Kubrick film?

    Ok I found Mike's post---His looked more real. I shot mine through a window and I believe he shot his over a display table. I also like his processing better.

    With or without the background info, I like this shot. I can't quite tell if they are toys or real - well, I think I know - but I like the ambiguity, so won't even say what I think :D
