    Actually, it looks like one end of a length of fire house with a clamping mechanism to attach the next or a large firefighting nozzle. :D

    Here's a photo of the hoses. They use them to move out water, but I'm sure they are used for other things too.

    This is one of the pumpers they've set up for the flood. Don't have a clue what the building is (wood). Across the street is the sewage plant :D and to the right of me is the river.

    My goodness Mary, I just came from your "Tractors, Trains, and Toys" gallery. You have lots of great rusty subjects there. If you still have the originals, zoom in on 'em and saturate the bejeebies out of 'em. Then post 'em up here and we RJ's will have a feast. wings.gif

    Those were taken before I knew anything about rust rolleyes1.gifI will re-do some of those .. crop in tight and really have a go at them.

    Snow is all gone and the rust has surfaced. I'll be having some fun out shooting now. Found a gold mine of rust ... just need to get permission to shoot it.
