Wow!! Great shots. Sure wish one of those Red-necked Grebes would have stopped
by here. Had a few of the Horned Grebes in near breeding plumage though.
    You up north some where?

Thanks Allen, and happy that you enjoyed this series of images. The Horned Grebes are so nice to have them around, they sure are a neat looking bird and glad that you had them around in your area.

Seen over 100 of the Redneck Grebes, but too far out on the lake and shooting into the sun, the most I have seen around here.

Yes North is correct, and in fact Toronto is where I'm located at.

Sweet shots, Dennis. I'm digging the colors in the water. Love the last one.

    Another wonderful series, Dennis.
It looks like you were in the water to get these!
Too hard to pick a favourite, really, but I'm going to go with first and last.
Gotta love the grebe sleeping with one eye open... (The eye on the other side is closed, don't ya know? ;))
The last image is the sort I dream of getting some day.

Lindiwe, thank you very much for the kind words on this series. I was not in the water, but on a boat ramp that was close to the edge and that is how I was able to get the low angle shots of these birds. Yes that one that is sleeping is a nice shot that I like for the pose and that eye open.

As for you capturing an image like the last one, I'm sure that it will come for you sooner or later. Thanks again for all the nice words.

Thanks Brian for the kind words on these images, and I have to say I like that one as well because of the colours in the water as well.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
