Where have all the sparrows gone?

Wonder if this has anything to do with it?

Shot through glass with the 75-300 basic Canon zoom...didn't do bad considering I wasn't prepared at all for it.

Nice captures, this is one bird that I have seen many years ago, and never seen it since in our area.

    Thanks.

We have seen one a couple of times a year for the last couple of years...but nothing regular. I think they are a fantastic bird...piercing eyes!

You have amazingly clean windows, if that is shot through glass. Want to come clean mine for me? ;)
Looks to me like you made the most of this opportunity. I should do half so well -without- the glass in the way...
Lovely captures. I particularly like the second one.
    Beautiful bird, too.

You'd be surprised! The windows are filthy at the moment - we have a couple of those feeders that stick on the window do the kids can see the birds feeding, and they made a right mess of the glass. I must have been lucky with a decent exposure, a slight lift in PP, and the light in the right place. :)
