Often the most photographically interesting images from a long shoot are tangential to the subject at hand...

    This is a stunner bd.

    ... I'm still peeling potatoes.

Good catch. The other thing that happens at these long shoots is, after a while, everyone is accustomed to seeing you and your camera, so people are more relaxed, less likely to pose.

True. Though this one is something of an exception in that the client is my next door neighbor, and I spent two days shooting the 90th birthday party, so I am a fixture and my presence as photographer is ignored from the start of the day. I would also note, however, that I generally find that within a half-hour of my arriving people pretty much ignore me and go about their 'business.'

I love this one. The ambiance is wonderful and the contrast of the pink shoes and seat (and on the doll) adds to the shot. Is that a Mickey t-shirt under her dress (another slight disconnect with the environment)? And is there a formica metal table in their garage?

    Not a Mickey Mouse t-shirt - it's a dress with geometric patterns. And I wouldn't expect to find a Formica table. mwink.gif
