Which backdrop to get?

One of my clients wants to have a backdrop at her wedding for funny pictures with the wedding party. Which backdrop (color, size, etc.) + stand do you recommend? I have never had any of them.
Thanks a lot!

I'd probably just get a plain paper backdrop + bring a couple props .. though gotta say they usually look very tacky. ne_nau.gif

That's 'cause you surely don't need one. Your work is stunning.

these are some nice fabric choices. I think a lot depends on the bride's color scheme and style as to what will look nice. Would hanging fabric on a wall with 3m hooks instead of a backdrop stand work? hate to see you invest in something you aren't going to use. A fancy fabric shower curtain would be 70x72 and have premade gromets to use for hanging. I have a black and ivory damask print that I have used.
Is this just for the bridal party, or does she want the photobooth for the reception as well?

This is where a flash meter reigns king...with proper exposure and lighting (at least 2 flashes) neither would be lost............

You said funny shots....if the bride would clairify it would make it easier to figure out what kind of a back drop......

EDIT......Find a source for digital backdrops and shoot on a plain white or other solid color that can be cut away and drop on to some digitla back drops...that way wedding couple could have a choice of backgrounds.....they could cut up and be as silly as they want to be......

I'm not sure what you have in mind, but a setup that has a camera on a tripod and a remote trigger w/lighting all set up allows folks to be silly w/o feeling self-conscious. I would go with a simple solid color background, fabric or paper are both great ideas, though I have seen someone who set up a board that they cut holes in, covered it in fabric, and then put frames around the holes so people could stand behind the board and stick their faces/hands/whatever into the frames. It was a lot of work but made for some cute shots.

I just posted my thoughts on being overly generous with praise.

I have nothing to say except your work is first class!

I immediately looked up your location to see if were anywhere near me so I could beg to second shoot with you!

    Keep posting.
