Advice Needed: Going to Galapagos Islands and Ecuador

My oldest daughter is spending her high school junior year in Ecuador as an exchange student. My wife has convinced me that we need to go down and visit her and meet her new friends and family.

So...I'll be there for 2 weeks. Half of that will be in the Galapagos Islands on a cruise ship with a couple of days staying in a hotel on Santa Cruz island. My daughter is also going to take us to part of the Amazon for a couple of days, a day or two exploring Quito and some days exploring her hometown of Riobamba and the area.

I'm looking for advice in several areas:

Gear Selection - I'll take my D300. I have the following lenses that I'm considering to take: Tokina 11-16, 35-70 f/2.8, 70-200 f/2.8, 1,4TC, 300 f/4 and a Tamron 18-250. Will also take a P&S in a waterproof housing. I plan to carry everything in a sling pack with maybe a dry pack for wet landings. Too much? What am I missing?

Quito - What are must shots in Quito?

Any advice is appreciated.
